this narrowing conic baton was presented to the artist on his anniversary by Maurycy Seydel and family in 1892. The baton was made of ebony with silver fittings and a silver dedication engraved on the handle. Attached to the middle section is a silver decoration imitating laurel leaves braced with a lyre. The tip of the baton is crowned with a silver ball. The case was fitted with dark burgundy leather and lined with burgundy velvet and white satin on the inside.

Jubilatowi / Rodzina Seydlów / d:16 Października / 1892. [To the Anniversary Celebrant / Seydel Family / 16 October / 1892]. The silver elements contain silversmith’s signs: mark 84, and a “WJ” and “omega” inscription.
