the core was made of dark French-polished wood, narrowing at 1/3 of the length; the tip of the wider part (grip) was decorated with a fitting adorned with a frieze featuring laurel leaves and a metal ball at the flat top; the narrow tip was finished with a fitting decorated with a frieze featuring a meander and a metal ball; the mid section has a wide fitting with an allocated space for an inscription, decorated with a frieze featuring laurel leaves; both sides of the mid fitting was decorated with narrow metal rings interlaced with the wood.
