This conic baton was presented by the students of the Merchants’ School to Michał Piotrowski (1875–1944), conductor of Warsaw-based choirs, in 1914. The baton was made of ebony with silver fittings decorated with an engraved ornament crowned with a lyre. In the middle section, a decorative silver band with an engraved inscription was attached, with the maker’s marks visible in the silver elements (silver hallmark 84, WJ, omega)
