Black baton with silver fittings; conical body made of dark, French-polished wood; grip fitting engraved with a twig motif, with an inscription on the rounded top; plain tip fitting; in the middle section of the baton, a silver ring with an inscription, decorated analogically to the grip. Hallmarked in London in 1927, silversmith’s mark illegible. As per inscription, the baton was presented by S. Berresford to F.B. Wass, the best conductor at an unidentified festival, in 1928
