black baton with silver fittings; conical body made of dark, French-polished wood; grip fitting slightly widened, with an engraved acanthus leaves motif; other fittings decorated analogically (tip fitting, ring at 1/3 of the length with an engraved inscription frame). Hallmarked for London in 1904, silversmith’s mark E·N (Ebenezer Newman & Co.).
