Black baton with silver fittings; conical body made of black-painted (lacquered?) wood; rounded, plain, unadorned grip and tip fittings; midway through the body, a simple silver ring with an engraved inscription. Hallmarked in London in 1931, silversmith’s mark: T.W.D . This commemorative baton was presented to [S/L -?] Beavan by the members of the Ebbw Vale Songsters ensemble in 1934.
