the baton was made of dark wood with an ivory grip and tip; the ivory grip was fitted with metal and decorated with a simple, linear engraving and impressed ring; the fitting is flat at the tip. The upper end of the grip was underlined with a narrow impressed ring, while the wooden body of the baton gradually narrows down towards its upper tip, underlined with two carved rings. The upper tip was also made of ivory and underscored analogically to the grip with a carved ring and two blackened lines; the mid section was decorated with a short metal band with room for an inscription.
