Black baton with metal fittings; conical body made of dark, French-polished wood; grip fitting slightly widened with a rounded top; at 1/3 of the length, a metal ring was fitted with an engraved inscription; tip fitting ends with a blunt finish; all metal parts were decorated with an impressed twig motif. As per inscription, the baton was owned by J.W. Spurr, who received it from the P.S.A. Band in Birstall, Great Britain, in 1894.
