Black baton with silvered fittings; cylindrical cone made of French-polished wood, with metal, cylindrical fittings with inscriptions on both ends, engraved with a wavy ornament; one of the fittings crowned with acanthus leaves, a rosette, and a small bowl; in the mid-section of the baton, a metal plate in the shape of a shield with an inscription. Hallmark: silvered metal I/O. A nearly identical baton can be found in the same collection under inventory number JSW 15. The baton was presented to the conductor Hagemann by the music society “Liedertafel” in Warburg.
