Baton sculpted in sandalwood and bone; long, conical body, visually divided into three parts; grip made of bone, crowned with a silver fitting with a rounded tip, engraved with twigs and flowers; on the bone components and the two remote wooden parts, a Chinese dragon, birds, and butterflies on a flowery background (the so-called chinoiserie theme); grip separated from the body by a wide, silver ring; two wooden parts separated likewise; long, rounded tip fitting, with an engraved floral twig and flowers. Hallmarked in London in 1896, maker’s mark illegible
