This conic baton with a narrowing belonged to military conductor Mikołaj Mikitiuczek (1882–1949), who was a fire brigade band master during the interwar period. The baton was made of lathed ivory and mahogany with a silver, snake-shaped decoration with eyes incrusted with demantoid, designed by Vladimir Alexiejevich Gordon’s jewellery studio. The silver elements were marked with hallmarks (in the oval – alpha, head in the kokoshnik turned to the right, 84), in the oval СП, in the rectangle a barely legible "В.Гордонъ". The decorations are similar to those of the English company Koehler and Son z 1881, which can be found in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Inventory number: 2006.577.4a–c., made of ivory and decorated with a golden snake with ruby eyes
